Why Rejection is Good

Rejection is a part of the writing world.

We put ourselves out there time and time again, and sometimes things work out and other times they don't.

It's when they don't though that we have an opportunity to learn.

To learn what's working and what's not working.

To go back into our pieces and look at our work objectively.

What rejection does is give us another way to think about our words, structure, characters, all of it.

And what it should do is make us want it even more.

Make us want to find the best way to tell the story we need to tell. Make us choose the right words for each sentence.

What it does is remind us that we have all the time in the world to create the best possible ending we can.

Let yourself feel bad for only a couple minutes and then start questioning how you can make it better.

If you see rejection as an opportunity to improve, you're bound for greatness.
